چکیده

Background – Recent collection efforts in Serra do Padre Ângelo, Pico da Aliança, and Sete Salões State Park, all located the state of Minas Gerais, have uncovered many botanical zoological novelties. The region is an outlying campos rupestres area inserted Atlantic Forest phytogeographic domain, with its flora mostly related to that core Espinhaço Range. Three species Asteraceae, one most representative families rupestres, been recently described for area. Here we report two new from genera Lepidaploa Lessingianthus range extension Lessingianthus, both subtribe Lepidaploinae. Methods This study was based on specimens herbaria HUFU, MBML, SPF, UFP, field observations. Morphological observations measures were taken following standard practices. Preliminary conservation assessments are spatial analyses (i.e. extent occurrence, occupancy), IUCN guidelines criteria. Results Two described: campirupestris, aurea, differing latter by leaf indumentum, pedunculate heads, number florets; petraeus, adenophyllus, but position blade morphology. We also a squamosus, previously known only Espírito Santo, ca 200 km away. Our results shed light interesting biogeography region, which contains components other areas intermixed typical inselberg vegetation. It highlights importance compiling floristic inventories poorly collected localities need strategies this biodiverse region.

Morphology and anatomy of leaf mine in Richterago riparia Roque (Asteraceae) in the campos rupestres of Serra do Cipó, Brazil.

The leaf mine in Richterago riparia is caused by a lepidopteran larva (lepidopteronome). The leaves of R. riparia show campdodrome venation; the epidermis is unistratified, with stomata and glandular trichomes in adaxial and abaxial surfaces. The mesophyll is bilateral and the vascular system is collateral. During the formation of the mine, the larva consumes the chlorenchyma of the mesophyll a...
